I Installed winVista beta 2-64 bit but i didn't delete the previous windows(xp). Now I have a hidge folder "windows.old"how can i delete the previous windows?? Please help!

Problem
Windows.old is a very poor backup of your old (XP) install. If you did not properly back your system up prior to upgrading, please keep in mind that the only way to rollback to XP is by reformatting, and there may be something in the .old file you need. If you did do a proper backup, such as a full image on a separate drive or partition, and you feel confident there is nothing in there you will need, use your discretion and delete if you want to. I'm keeping mine.

Hi Greek Soul
Unfortunately anti-virus software compatability has always been one of the major issues when upgrading operating systems on all platforms. Anti-virus software is both very clever at detecting deception (ie. compatability modes) and specific to the operating systems they are written for.
In short, I would suggest that you only install Vista on a machine which is operating in a protected environment, one which is shielded from threats as much as possible, ie. a lab machine.
If you have installed Vista on a production machine then you are exposing youself to risks and should wait for the retail release before upgrading.
Regards
Brendan

If you want to keep using Vista but feel unsafe, then create a new account that is not administrator and try use it for most things.. like email, messaging, browsing and opening stuff from other people and web sites.. I don't guarantee anything but a few I know have managed to be safe this way without running separate anti virus..

Try trend micro pc- cillin 14. Go to your security center, should show no malware/virus protection. follow links to microsoft partners and down load pc-cillin. I have been using for several days on the 32 bit works great! I haven't tried it yet for 64 bit. I have dual boot/ dual hardrive with a copy of each. The general thought is the 64 bit is pretty safe from virus.
